Florida Tile's Metropolitan Quarry MetroTread comes in two colors, Mayflower Red and Puritan Gray, and is available in a 6" x 6" size. This tile features nine raised treads across the surface that are spaced 5/8" apart for added slip resistance. There are two different installation systems that are dependent on the flow of traffic and can be seen below.

MetroTread Installation Systems

MetroTread Linear Pattern

Linear System - This install method is for use on one directional pathways, or access ramps. The treads are installed parallel to each other to increase traction.
MetroTread Grid Pattern

Grid System - This install method is used for multi-directional traffic like that of a commercial kitchen. The treads are installed perpendicular to those of the previous tile to ensure traction in all directions.
