Greta’s kitchen needed updating, so she chose to install a stylish new glass subway tile backsplash to upgrade the space. Check out how she used a unique color to transform the kitchen.
Greta removed the previous backsplash.
Here you see the backsplash wall prior to installation of the new backsplash.
Greta decided to use Storka Urban Hues 3" x 6" glass subway tile for the new backsplash. The Ruby color she chose is especially striking. It really transforms the look of the space.
The new backsplash and granite countertop
Greta also installed a new granite countertop. Greta’s artist friend recommended that she incorporate a bright color to contrast with the dark granite color.
The new backsplash really stands out!
Greta says that she loves the color red. Her old countertop used to be red, and she uses red pots and accessories to accent the backsplash.
Greta had the tile installed in a unique vertical brick pattern
The new backsplash brings a pop of personality to the space that really exemplifies Greta’s taste. The red matches the wallpaper collage above their kitchen table and the carpet in the dining room. If you want a subway tile backsplash like the one shown here, stop by our Subway Tile Theme Page.
