When Sonya was looking to renovate her master bath, she wanted something she would be able to enjoy for many years to come.
Sonya did the design and product selection, but left it to the professionals when it came to demo and installation.
Wanting something different from traditional 12″ square tile, Sonya opted to go with a wood look tile from SouthCypress.com. Using a wood tile in the bathroom is great because it gives the look of real wood but with the added durability and resistance to water of porcelain.
The new white cabinetry helps to give the bathroom the light and clean feel one wants in a bathroom space.
A colorful shower mosaic helps add color to the space and further emphasizes the beach theme Sonya was aiming for.
When renovating a space, Sonya recommends ordering plenty of samples and laying them out in the space so that you can see them at different times of the day and under different lighting.
Sonya also says to ask a lot of questions along the way to fully know what is and is not possible. Also, customer service is key from any company you are dealing with. The better the customer service, the less stress you will have on the project.
Sonya did an excellent job designing this space and we know she will enjoy it for many years to come. From the paint colors, to vanities, to flooring–it all works together to create a contemporary beach-like space.
